The new Hermès store is nothing short of pure Parisian heaven
My recent trip to Paris for the Maison et Objet furnishings fair was a short one, but I couldn't leave without seeing the new Hermès store on the Left Bank. Fortunately, it was steps from my hotel and nothing, not even extreme jet lag was going to keep me out of Hermès heaven. Formerly a hotel swimming pool, the store feels like it's underwater. The undulating wooden cocoon displays resemble the bones of whales, the mosaic walls sparkle like the sea, and the skylight on the ceiling is endless.
There's the most beautiful flower shop in the front of the store that sells precious arrangements in porcelain Hermès vases. You can also sit at the tea salon and people watch, making it the perfect rest stop after a long transatlantic flight.
